    Re: Official "Bugs"/"Glitches" Thread

I've seen a couple of bugs and some questionable statistics.

In regards to walk off home runs: 2 on but only counts 2 of the runs (batter and lead runner). Has happened once during play and several times in mangage only.

It's raining in Seattle. Sounds bout right. But the domes closed! haha

Annoying stat. There seems to be little ryhme or reason in simulated SO's (for the hitters). Ichiro has a Plate Disc. of 90. Near max in contact vs. rt and Lt. Still he leads the M's in SOs. (68 Ks in 348 ABs). About the same for Pierre in Florida. Polanco in Philly. Hillenbrand in AZ. WTF?

I'm sure its been mentioned, but it seems that if you get a base hit and then the out-fielder bobbles it and you take an extra base you also get the hit taken away and the whole thing is counted as an error. I had a batter in a huge slump get screwed like this. Extra-bases hurt the .AVG.

Didn't read to see if this was posted or not but when I play as the Twins and Michael cuddyer comes up to bat it sounds to me like the pa announcer says Michael Hunter(maybe its just me hearing things)

Still is an issue, but not nearly as bad as last year. Does not happen that often to worry about.

That's not a glitch. Stop getting thrown out stealing with him, and you won't have a lower OBP than AVG.

What does getting thrown out stealing have to do with OBP?

No need to quote me when you post right after me.

OBP is on base percentage. If you make outs on the bases, OBP goes down. Force outs don't figure.

Other factors also go into OBP:

                            Hits+Walks+Hit By Pitch / At Bats+Walks+Hit By Pitch+Sac Flys

What about getting out on a sacrifice, reaching base on an error, reaching on a drop-third strike, reaching on fielder's choice, etc.? There are many factors.

And, I truly believe that getting caught stealing does not affect your on-base percentage. That's like saying your OBP lowers if you get out trying to stretch a double into a triple, which, by the way, is NOT one of your factors. So, I really don't know what to believe. My guess is that it's "If you don't reach first base safely during your at bat, your OBP lowers. If you reach first base safely during your at bat, your OBP raises."
