I'm using Pared's sliders with some tweaks:

    Pitch Speed: -5
    CPU Pitcher Ball Rate: 4
    CPU Pitch Control: -16
    User Batting Contact: 20
    CPU Batting Contact: 20
    User Batting Power: 0

What are some suggestions that I could do to stop giving up so many hits? Is it necessary to change, perhaps the batting power for the CPU? Or leave it as it is?
I have CPU Batting Power at -50....and they still hit up to an average of 2 homeruns a game. Here are my current sliders with some credits to Pared.

I still got a blown out game, 12-0. However, I figured out how to pitch effectively...and plus I moved up to MVP difficulty with no slider adjustments. My first game result: I lost 3-0 to the Mets....allowed 2 homeruns and a RBI single on 8 hits and 2 strikeouts. I had 5 hits and 11 strikeouts.

After that game, I adjusted certain sliders for kmy and their pitching and batting. I think I'm real close to a perfect realistic game. I will let you know what kind of sliders I have cause I do not feel like turning the xbox back on lol

What is the difference between MVP and All Star please? I like the hitting challenge on All Star but i want the CPU to hit better. Is it impossible to hit on MVP? That is what i am afraid of.

You want to talk variable stuff.... Pedro walked 6 guys in 3.2 innings! He let up 5 and struck out 5. I beat the Mets 7-2 with Schilling on the mound.

I'm still trying to increase my strikeout total, but I'm finding that the more I try, the higher my pitch count and walk total. So the fact that you really have to work for them is a very good thing in relation to those two numbers. Still, I think I may lower CPU contact just because I'm having trouble getting my fastballs by the NL pitchers!

How close are these sliders to final Pared...they seem almost there to me atleast.

On All Star, the cpu pitchers seem to throw a lot of strikes and a little harder to hit for some reason, I tried everything to adjust sliders to try and help myself out. It may be somehow affliated with All Star.

On MVP, I'm seeing a lot of difference because the cpu pitchers are throwing more balls and also they get tired little quicker. I'm hitting better in MVP. However, from judging on how MVP works...I have adjusted some sliders (mostly pitching and batting for both user and cpu...everything else is at 0). You can PM me if you want to see what kind of sliders I currently have. I'm still testing the game though, but I think I may be close to where I want to be at.

I decided to go up to all-star since I was winning too much at pro. And I have to say I'm REALLY impressed at the difficulty and with pared's sliders. I had to change the user batting to 5 because it felt too much like the pro difficulty. Also, I'm getting walked a lot. I played my first game and killed Maddux. He walked 6 batters and gave up 4 HRs. I hope that was the cause of "variable stuff."
