**** him. He cheated. It doesn't matter that he's a nice guy or not.
Hopefully his career continues to shrivel up as much as his testicles probably have. I don't care if Mahatma Ghandi or Mother Teresa cheated, they still did it.
I definitely think the American public is obsessed with creating heroes to put on pedestals and conversely, villains to kick down. I personally don't care about the character of any players, all I care about is what they produce on the field (especially for the team I have a cheering interest in). They can be a racist piece of ****, a wife beater, I don't care. I'm not looking to idolize or worship anybody, I'm just looking to watch these amazing athletes play the game of baseball at the highest possible level. No more, no less.
As long as they produce, are team players, and contribute to the general underlying goals of the ballclub, I really couldn't care less.
That all said, I just picked up Giambi for my fantasy team as a short term 1B solution.
Do you ever have a post that isn't totally ripping the Yankees and everyone associated with it? You're blind hatred as a Red Sox fan reminds me why I despised Red Sox fans so much during my 4 years of college I spent in the Boston area."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Didn't Tino Martinez hit like 10 home runs in a span of two weeks? Just saying...Comment

Giambi has been great for the last two months, and has really added his power in the last 3 weeks. The difference in the two first basemen, is that I don't see Giambi slowing down anytime soon.Originally posted by CardsFan27This is the 3rd time John Calipari has been to his first Final Four! What I'm Currently Listening ToComment

Originally posted by DuffysCliffHe's been getting on base at a great clip, but his June slugging percentage was still only .431. Then it doubles to .884 in July. Something isn't right (and no, I'm implying he's back on steriods or anything). Also, on a side note, his slugging percentage away from the short porch in right is a pretty poor .358. He was profiled as a guy who gets on base a lot, but won't hit for power. Looks like that may be the truth this year.
Also I think you meant to say your NOT implying that hes back on steroids from the way you wrote the rest of the sentence or maybe just read it incorrectly.

Face it, Giambi found some new sh*t to shoot up or swallow. I don't feel good or sorry for the guy. It's just to bad that his homeboy Sheffield didn't take the same hit he took. The moolie got lucky.New York Mets
