I dont think it will hurt baseball at all. Im pretty sure everyone on this thread would disown the players more or less, yet they wouldnt abandon the game.

I think its funny how everyone still points the finger at the hitters who cheat to get an edge. Yet, pitchers cheat probably more often than hitters ever have. And nobody gave a rats azz when players get caught with corked bats. Nobody says ban them for life. No HOF for them. I think Rob Neyer of ESPN had a good article on Page 2 about something similar to the above.

I mean this society never can stay on one side of the fence. Im not here admonishing those steroid users but everyone is so privy to point the finger when its a hot topic.

Yeah I was dissappointed that Chris didn't ask him about the rumors of this week surrounding the big name players but I'm guessing Bud beforehand said he wouldn;t be able to comment on that.

Good interview otherwise and I really must be the only fan of Bud Selig. He is the only one in baseball who is trying his hardest to get rid of steroids and keep the inegrity of the game. I don't think the things he says are BS... I really think he is trying to mak this sport clean.. but infortuantely the damn players union will never allow that to happen.

I doubt it's the whole union. It's Fehr and the guys who take the drugs. The minorty is acting on behalf of the majority.

Relax. We'll hear about it eventually if it is true.

These things take time with all the that MLB is doing. Remember, Raffy tested positive and MLB knew it about 2 months before it became public. Maybe this is another leak and we won't hear about it for another month?

Yeah he is the one that proposed some real suspensions, not just the 10-day mess. It always seems that what he wants gets cut down, like the Rogers suspension.
