Thats a good point, just dont like how these guys go for the money, then look for a way out once they get it, knowing full well what they got into. Oh well.

Granted he didn't have a good year at all, they did go out and pay big bucks for Sammy Sosa just last season.

I'd give an arm and a leg for guys like Tejada. Great leadership and world class talent. Hudson, McGowan, Rios and League might not even be close.

Wood for Miggy is ludircrous. I almost wet myself this morning however when I came downstairs and saw the paper with Migs for Manny on the front and back page. Granted in the same division is unlikely, but the Manny/Miggy is the best trade possible player-wise I'd say.

I don't know about the city in general, but none of my friends were all that excited about an aging player who was on the decline the previous 3-4 years. We seem to just get older. Now the story is we're getting rid of Surhoff but in talks of brining back Jeff Conine?!?! Why? Cuz our FO is stupid.

Wood for Miggy won't happen. I think we need to be completely wowed with proven talent AND minor leaguers for us to consider it.

the Manny/Miggy trade will never happen (never say never). Angelo$ will never take on that much contract.

Oh, the Sox will definately eat a couple pennies off of that contract for any team IMO.

Bingo. We have a winner. Hit the nail on the head. So many hypocrite bitchasses these days in sports.
Love to see him as a Red Sox though..

I think his problem is that is one of the worst straight-up trades.

Maybe if the Cubs traded Pie and Prior...maybe.

You'd do the same thing if your team's owner said 2 years in a row "We will get the necessary pieces to contend." and say both times "I'm not a broken record, this time it will literally come true."

Why is Tejada worth more than a front line starter?
