Originally posted by ScottdNo, what is funny are you guy destroying this guy. But that is cool. I find it funny that Conti said the books were a bunch of lies, but after the investigation is over then maybe everybody can move on once and for all! And if they find out he took them.
I have no problem punishing him, but the truth is Baseball is who created this. They knew, but didn't do anything about it, because it was putting people in the seats, especially because of the strike!Comment

Originally posted by Scottdyeah I read that in paper today, they say it might not mean what people think. They said it will change in a couple of days and make it mean something else!

Re: ESPN and Bonds
Originally posted by BlzerI'm not saying it to defend Bonds in his lack of steroid usage (we all know that there was at least little used, whether knowingly or not), but I was trying to make a case against Pujols.
Granted, I don't believe that Pujols is on steroids. Hell, my approach on believing who has taken steroids and who hasn't is so miniscule that I still believe that Sosa (who I hate more than any player in the majors because of his undeservative overratedness) was not on steroids until undeniable proof.
But, as for Sammy's case (like I've said before), he had some lucky seasons in my mind. That, and his jealousy came in the Home Run Derbies. At Fenway in 1999, he hit 1 home run while McGwire had a 13 homer round. The next year in Atlanta, I believe he used the cork (same in Miller Park in 2002), when all of his balls launched. After all, he admitted that he uses a corked bat during batting practice to "put on a show". I think the same should be said for his Home Run Derby appearances.Comment

Re: ESPN and Bonds
Originally posted by BlzerLike I said, that statement can be said for a lot of people, so when it comes up in my case, that's the automatic thought process when reading my posts. But take away that damn Giants logo and put a Yankees, Cubs, or A's logo on it (or trade Bonds to one of those teams). I still say the same thing because he is my favorite player, not because he is on my favorite team (and I honestly think they are only my favorite team because I live here. If I lived anywhere else, I think the Braves would be my favorite team).Comment
