They don't play any more. But like Chris Singleton, my cousin Rich Dauer and tell you the truth I can't remember that any anymore. But it is cool you don't have to believe me!

I'm not asking just so I can turn around and call you a liar, that would be a really dick move. I just really wanted to know since you brought it up.

My only MLB connection is that Marcus Giles brings his dogs to where I work. Mark DeRosa used to do the same, until he ended up with the Rangers.

When I coach at El Cerrito high as a hitting caoch in 94-98, we played against Jimmy Rollins. Blzer probably knows where E.C. is. I have met a lot of ball player through my cousin Rich. So that was cool!

                      nevermind, it really doesn't matter.

I just feel that roids don't prolong someones career. Look at Nomar G. He put 30 pounds of muscle on in 3 months. And look at all the problems he has been having, Even Mark Mc. retire earlier because of injuries. Look at Brady Anderson he was a rock, and he retire because of injuries. Roids are good for one thing and that is to get you there faster, but if you think you are going to prolong your career with roids, I just don't see that. Look at Jason G. He got really sick and is lucky to be playing now. And now Bonds is having all these problems. But if you want to believe roids prolong your career, that is cool. I am not defending Bonds or any other player that took roids, I am just saying I can't condemn them, because I can't say for sure that I wouldn't have done the same thing! I know it is illegal and wrong, but I just can't say that for sure, so I can relate. Doesn't mean people shouldn't be mad at these players. They should, I just can't!

Another thing how is Roger C. able to pitch at his 40 and dominate. Just curious how he was able to do that! Since someone on here said to be in your 40 and dominate is damn near impossible! But if you want to say I am being stubborn and stupid that is cool too. I have been listening to what a lot of you have been saying and will agree with most now. But still have a problem with prolonging the career thing!

I don't think it prolongs your career, but if you start using them when you are 36 then you obviously will have more success then a normal 36-40 year old would.

Most players start taking steriods during their primes, and when the magical age of 36+ comes around the drugs have taken their toll on the body. Because Bonds started later he may not feel the effects until he retires.

Not to mention he was probably taking newer and more advanced steriods from what's being reported.

I can accept that, But I still feel like taking roids at that age will cause more damage than good. Just by the fact you are getting older. Your body wont e able to take all the wear and tear from roids! But that is just my opinion and some fact, just by witnessing my friends that have taken them!

See I can see with this new stuff they are testing, I can see maybe down the road, some types of roids might be legal if they don't cause to much damage lol. I still feel like most athletes today are taking something. Especially to play baseball every day. That alone takes a lot out of you. We only played about 25 to 30 games in a season, I can't even imagine playing a 162 games. I have talk to my cousin before about it, when he played for the Baltimore O. It takes a lot of you, He said make sure this is something you want to play every night. He never said this, but I have heard players in his days took speed to keep them going!

Look at my posts. I never said a word about steroids prolonging a career. All that I have said is that I believe that Bonds took steroids and you have given reasons to justify why he took them. That in my book is defending the man.

The problem I have with Bonds is that he cheated. Its not fair to the 95% of the players that play the game fair, that 5% of the players are giving the game a black eye. Bonds supposedly loves the game and respects the game. If he loves the game then he should respect its records. If thats the case, then doesn't it bother you that Bonds may break the record by cheating? Doesn't that hurt the integrity of the game?
