He shouldnt have been suspended at all. Bonds is still playing...

MLB needs a complete overhaul from the top down, starting with BUD.

      Two entirely separate issues.

Grimsely admitted to steroid use which is punishable under baseball's collective bargaining agreement.

Bonds has never admitted to using steroids. Leaked Grand Jury testimony is inadmissable and cannot be used against Bonds in this case.

        found this today....

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch's Joe Strauss reports St. Louis Cardinals 1B Albert Pujols defended his friend and former trainer Chris Mihlfeld, who worked with RP Jason Grimsley when he recovered from Tommy John surgery. "It's not about me. It's not about (Kansas City Royals DH) Mike Sweeney. I don't resent this as much for myself as I do for Chris," Pujols said. "He's got no way to defend himself against somebody who puts something out there that's not true. I've said before I have nothing to worry about. If they want to test me and Mike, then let's go. I'll do it tomorrow. No problem. But Chris has been put in a really unfair position. I know it bothers him. I hear it every time I talk to him."

I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

An empty suggestion. Both know good and well that the MLBPA would never condone that.

Bonds has made statements similar to this, only he calls the reporters some... bad... bad name-calling... name... things.

Pujols is a great guy, and I respect his presence on and off the field. If he says that he didn't do it, I'll believe him. Same goes for anybody else until proven guilty. Yes, I am that naive, and that's just how I go about my business. If they couldn't land O.J., he could be innocent, and that's my belief. Scott Peterson?... I believe guilty.

Besides, none of these great hitters really need the stuff to go about their business the way they do. Are they about to go after David Ortiz now?

After watching Palmeiro lie to congress and his fans, I have no reason to trust any million dollar baseball player.

Didn't know they needed your trust. People glamourize the home run, thats why they juice. There has to be a paradigm shift, and until there is new management, etc. You will not see that.

On a side note about my personal feelings: As a former baseball player who stopped playing due to injury (and saw a few of my all-star mates get drafted this weekend, one in the 3rd round) it takes skill to hit the ball. Great hitters are great hitters, there's no way around it. Bonds, Pujols, Ruth, Ichiro, etc. All see the ball and that is why they are great hitters. Not that I am saying it is alright to use "banned substances" but it doesnt make it any easier for the player to hit the ball.

I would argue they help make the ball easier to hit over the course of a season.

It is proven that steiods improve eyesight, so that might actually help someone be a better hitter.
