Keep him away from the Mets, and I couldn't care where he went.

I wouldn't have minded him in a Mets uniform, but I was a little leery of the money he was commanding... Dude is a horse, but his record isn't necessarily worthy of a big contract like that, IMO... I'll be interested in seeing what Omar does now, since we still have some starting pitching issues to address.

There was a rumor of Milledge for Vasquez. Don't know how much Mets fans like Vasquez though.

You would definitely need more then Milledge for Harden. I know Mets fans hate this, but I MUST remind them, how good would it be to have Kazmir right now?

True- I wanted him, but no way I'm paying him Beltran money. The guy's a good not great pitcher.

Agreed. He's a nice pitcher. But I don't believe him to be an elite type of pitcher, worth that kind of money. Gives up too many run and too many baserunners, imo. And has too many games where he gets knocked out of the game early.

How his game will translate in the NL, is another question also.

Oh, I know that... I didn't mean that we'd get Milledge for Harden straight up... If Omar could pull that off, he'd have to be arrested for aggravated robbery... We'd definitely have to include more for that happen...

I retch every time I hear the name Scott Kazmir... Who knows, hopefully we can pull him back into the fold one day.

What's the word on Milledge? Word was the Padres were possibly going to send some pitching the Mets way for him at one time. That since fell through, but his name pops up out here every once and a while.

We've all seen the success most AL pitchers have when going to the NL. I think Zito has a great year. Don't think he is worth 18mil but then again, who is?

Well, the Mets traded Kazmir for Victor Zambrano, Victor Zambrano. It has to go down has a horrible, horrible trade. But when you trade Rivers, the picks who then turn out to be Merriman, and Kaeding for Eli f'n Manning, that takes the cake.

Ouch! I'll say Eli/Chargers because of the number of All-Stars that came out of that deal

I did not realize that Zito had a 1.40 WHIP last year. That's just atrocious. The Giants better hope/pray that this move pays off because that contract could become an albatross if Zito pitches like he did last year. The only way that contract is worth it is if he pitches at at least his 2005 level.
