Too bad Griffey will never get this record, it was his destiny at one time...

I have a nagging feeling that A-Rod won't get the record. He may come awfully close to it but he won't get it. The man is hyper sensitive to the media and having the spotlight on him too brightly. He'll go through what Maris went through by losing hair and weight.

Pujols....I'd like to see what he does when he gets a little more older before I make a firm judgement on him.

              *sigh*

When will everyone realize to just let the Giants fans live in their own little fantasy world and not waste time trying to reason with them?

Did you see the pic he is on the cover of muscle and fitness. And I am joking about the roids, but he did get ripped! Check it out. They showed his work out schedule, it is pretty crazy.

There's no reason to claim Pujols is on steroids, but there's no reason to be suspicious of it, either. A lot of people may not grow so much from steroids, and who knows? He could have been taking them well before he came into the majors.

Anyway, too bad the Giants aren't playing today. Now that means they'll play a double-header tomorrow, and Bonds won't take part in one of the games. Also, had he not been a little bitchy Bonds and taken himself out after three at-bats, he could have had more chances to bat again, and with the way he was putting the bat on the ball... well, he looked good yesterday.

I agree, but it seems like as soon as a guy puts on muscle he has to be on steroids! lol

Steriods aren't going to help you decipher whether that 90 MPH slider is going to drop out of the zone or not. It also won't help an outfielder read a fly ball any better. I don't know why Bonds took them. Nor do I care. His record will only stand for a few years and then someone like A-Rod will break Bonds' record.

Because chicks dig the long ball! And he was jealous of Mark and Sosa and all the attention they were getting!

I got Love Me, Hate Me for Christmas, but haven't gotten around to reading it yet. Anyway, I believe that book's main point is that Bonds was jealous, and I want to look into that when I start reading it and see more about what Pearlman has to say on the subject.

Because he won't be asked questions about steroids.
