Re: Hank Aaron won't witness Bonds break the record
Now come on did you see the size of the ball parks Ruth had to hit in. if he was hitting today ball parks he would be killing the ball! Now one can argue the pitchers all better, but who. Jim you played with Ruth? What were the pitchers like? Also Jim your head is bigger today, we just didn't want to tell you.
There were great pitchers and players in my era, but like apples and oranges I suppose. You know, apples on beer, oranges on steroids.Comment

There is the million dollar question Why? If he knows Bonds is innocent I can see it, but if he knows he is guilty why would he be spending time in Jail? Would you?Comment

I also think your vastly underrating the impact of fatigue on a pitcher, and bear in mind that after the "dead-ball era", the MLB made an attempt to increase offensive production.I write things on the Internet.

Geez louise Scott. That would be like Johnny Cochoran standing up in the trial and saying, "you're honor.....this man did it" (pointing squarely at the killer, only in public opinion, OJ). I don't believe you said that.Comment

The fact that Barry is still playing only means he hasn't failed a test since the new policy's inception. We're talking about the events that transpired prior to all of that.Comment

If he knows Bonds is innocent, you can understand why he's spending time in jail? Why wouldn't he, you know, just tell the Grand Jury the truth, that Barroid is innocent, and then go home?Helen: Everyone's special, Dash.

Re: Hank Aaron won't witness Bonds break the record
Babe and Mickey were hung over half the time. Can you imagine what Mickey would have done if he hadn't tripped over that sprinkler. Drunk, not on roids like Barry. Pitchers better today? I don't think so. I see a TON of pitchers on these staff of today that aren't very good. (don't get me wrong, they are certainly talented men, but...)

One can say you can hit better drunk? lol But what ever. I will say one thing I remember hearing about during Double hitters, Mickey would go to the bar and get blasted and come back and hit 2 HR's. Damn maybe Beer or hard liquor make you a power hitter.Comment

Actually, it does refute your claim. You said the MLB is only targeting Barry, but several players have been suspended since mandatory drug testing was put in place.

No, but if you say so boy I am saying if Bonds was never found guilty of Riods then why wouldn't baseball celebrated itComment
