Yes Tampa i believe will finish outside of the cellar this year for 2 reasons: 1) Pinella is a winner, and i think it will rub off on those younger guys in the Trop enough to get them 70 wins this year. 2) Baltimore is just horrible, from the ending they had last season, and the fact they didnt even try to improve this year, they are destined for another 0-22 start just like in 88...

Maybe a slight exaggeration on your part. Just about EVERYTHING has to go wrong to start 0-21 (not 22, let's not get carried away now, heh). I actually think a lot of players will have their "career" years. 1 - many players are in the 26-30 year old range, where players often have their best years (of course, by career year, I mean by their own standards... I don't think Devi Cruz will have an A-Rod year... just a good year by Cruz's standard). 2 - Many players have just one year contracts so they must perform for next year's contract. Having said that, I still believe that the O's will finish below .500 this year.

if you consider overall talent, the Angels are no where close to the Mariners and A's.

However, the Angels make up for that through team play. I really felt that last year's Angels team was very similar to the 1998 Yankees. A team that wasn't star struck on paper, but played team baseball and won a championship.

I give the Angels a whole lot of respect. I already predict they'll be the team to beat in 2 years. I said 3 years last year - they won the championship. Much earlier than I expected. But talent wise they haven't even reached their highest potential.

So i think the reason they are third in most predictions is b/c of overall individual talent. You can never predict how a team will perform overall. But I think we can all agree that it will be difficult for the Angels to repeat. Not sayin it can't be done, but they aren't a clear cut "dynasty" like team.

Don't know wh y people have the mets so high on their list cuz i dont see how they have improved besides Tom, Their offense was so bad last year, don't see it improving. Phils are going to win the divison and lose in the 2nd round

My bad LOL...I knew I forgot someone....now I think AZ will win the west, and SF coming in 2nd, barely beating out the Phillies in the wild card.
