Re: most overrated player
Nobody will say he is still the most dominant player in the game anymore so Barry is not overrated at all. I think it is pretty obvious why he has a billion reporters following him around everywhere. In no way does that make him overrated.Comment

Re: most overrated player
Then you obviously have a strange definition over overrated. Barry Bonds is exceeding expectations this year, if anything.I write things on the Internet.

Re: most overrated player
746 home runs and counting will get you that kind of attention. This is the biggest record in ALL of sports, of course this is huge news. Not to mention he's an interesting story because of the steroids controversy. People love to watch someone they hate.Comment

Re: most overrated player
Yeah when your about to break arguably the biggest record in all of sports your going to get that kind of attention. Also the media wants to be there to bash him if he says or does anything wrong."The academic support at Ohio State, there is no way you can fail. Even if you're giving minimal effort there is no way you can fail."

Re: most overrated player
I have my opinion. Bonds is not the most important player in the league. The career home run record is about to be tarnished, IMO, and it's no longer the most important record in all of sports.
Hell, I think .400 and 56 mean a LOT more than 755.Rose City 'Til I Die

Re: most overrated player
Will you be saying the same thing if Pujols is approaching the all time home run record?
755 represents an entire career of excellence, .400 and 56 are just single season things. You can't even compare them even though Barry's OPS in 2001, 2002, and 2004 all exceed Ted Williams' OPS the year he hit .406. OPS is a much more meaningful stat.Comment

Barry's OPS means nothing, when he doesn't have to earn the walks.Rose City 'Til I Die
