I'd say it's a damn good answer as well.

Not to be obnoxious or anything, but Detroit and Cleveland are good teams, right?

                Only 4 back.

But it doesn't mean much because Baseball Prospectus says the Red Sox still have a 91% chance of winning the division.

                    Can't speak for Cleveland.

                    But Detroit? Not so much.

                      Re: Have a feeling.....Yankees

I'm obviously happy w. the way we took care of business against Detroit and Cleveland (yet lose the series to the O's, arg).

Now the real test comes. No off-day on the trip out to Anaheim who owns us. We rarely play good on the first game of a WC-road trip and I honestly don't see us winning the Lackey/Pettitte game. We need a big outing from Hughes tonight, which is possible because so far he has pitched much better on the road plus this is a homecoming for him so hopefully he is sharp.

After that it's straight to Detroit w.o a day off for four straight. Detroit will obviously be gunning for us since we just won this series and they will be fighting for their playoff lives. I'm hoping for a split there.

Then it's home for Boston without an off day, who will have an off day and will be coming off series against Tampa Bay and the White Sox.

This will definitely test our mettle. I'm hoping we got at least 5-4.

Don't worry, Horacio Ramirez is pitching for Seattle tonight. Might as well spot the Twins a 6 run lead to start the game.

Well it is the Twins you're talking about. Ramirez might pitch a shutout against their offense.

That's the beauty of Horacio Ramirez. He could pitch in the Little League World Series and get chased after 2 innings.

Here's his line against the Twins (in Seattle) from last week.

                              5.0 IP, 9 H, 6 R, 6 ER, 3 BB, 2K

Sadly, that's about an average outing for him. And even worse, the Mariners keep sending him out there every 5 days.

Horacio Ramirez has the worst ERA of any pitcher with at least 10 starts, but has a winning record (7-4). He has beaten the Yankees the Red Sox and the Padres but has lost to the Rangers and the Devil Rays. Ramirez has allowed at least 6 runs in a game 6 times, has gone more than six innings only 3 times and has failed to go at least five innings 5 times!!. The guy is a statistical nightmare and they keep throwing him out there and the Mariners are 8-6 when he pitches.

                                Unbelievable.
