True. I always took it that he meant steroids or HGH (which by the way I wouldn't be surprised if he did. I mean, HGH seems like a logical choice if you're a baseball player that doesn't want to be caught using steroids).

With Canseco's latest comments I still think he meant steroids. But, you're right. He was very vague and it could be about anything.

You're right, I actually had not seen Canseco's quote from yesterday until now. That quote was pretty much directly to the point - about steroids. The earlier quote I referenced was BS and vague.

I find it hard to take Canseco seriously now because if knew that A-Rod took steroids, why wasn't this in the first book, or why hasn't he mentioned anything before?

No I knew he was guilty I just like debating!

Figured this thread was the best place for it. Anyone else read this? I say good for F.P. I don't agree with his decision to take HGH, but he's at least man enough to deal with the consequences.

                Same with Gary Bennett.

Seems these two guys supplying names might not been lying out their teeth.

The only guy who would surprise me at this point is Cecil Fielder. The only human growth hormone that guy "injected" into his body was Popeyes Chicken. Almost everyone else, I would have to suspect.

Well he didnt have any current Red Sox players but there were a few players listed that played for them at one point or another, for instance Mo Vaughn.

Im not going to read through this entire thread but did anyone else get annoyed by the way Mitchell talked during his press conference? He sounded just like Jim Rome and William Shatner, saying 3-4 words and then having to pause again, it got so old that I actually changed the channel at one point.

In regards to the players named, this entire report os bogus if you ask me, sure there are going to be some names that are legitimate, ie. Gary Bennett etc., but I have a hard time condemning players that are named by old clubhouse attendants, but I wont say I think all the players are innocent in this either. Ive always wondered about Clemens, the one that kinda of hurt for me was Gagne being mentioned, as well as LoDuca but it sounded more like LoDuca placed orders for Gagne and not for himself but still, hes an idiot for doing that if he did indeed do it.

I actually think that role goes to Pujols too. Not necessarily breaking the record, but is there anyone who has ANY negative feelings towards Pujols? Just the fact that everyone loves him and respects him is enough.

All in all, Jeter, A-Rod, and Pujols are probably the three players they'd fall *** backwards to protect.

Jeter above all. If Jeter were to test positive for steroids it would be catastrophic for MLB.

At this point he has the right to wonder why everyone is coming after him so hard if there are almost 100 people that are supposedly doing the same thing he was doing. So now do the feds go after Roger C because he was supposedly listed as a heavy user.

I'm not sure if he did it professionally. But he was big on bodybuildng and being in tip top shape. I still remember his crazy minor league commercials. When was the last time we've seen a minor league player get so much commercial advertising?

Anyway, linking him to professional body building doesn't really say much if we're trying to not link him to steroids.

Has Clemens allegedly lied under oath to a federal grand jury about knowingly using steroids?
