I have 'em set to "don't play this game anymore" Works great.

Quality game, prolly enjoyable for most...but i started on the highest difficulty and failed to see a realistic pitch/hit model. Yea, it makes it harder to hit, but when you do hit the ball i still feel like it's a bit goofy.

Nice. And you were still scoring 5+ runs a game on the highest difficulty?

        Re: Comprehensive Baseball Reviews

Well, I just played a full game for the first time in 2 weeks. I actually scored just 4 (lost 8-4) on Legend. The runs came after I stopped swinging early at everything...

        Couple Observations -

Ball seems to disappear "in front" of home plate instead of going through the zone and to a catcher. In fact, if you move the batting cursor all the way in with a right handed batter, the cursor appears in front of the batter, which is weird to me. Shouldn't it appear on the same plane as the middle of the plate?

CPU runners continually failed to take an easy extra base.

Not that I'm too familiar with him, but I doubt Mark Prior's fastball dips to 86 mph by innings 2 and 3. I think he throws low-mid 90s all game?

Looked at Kerry Wood's fastball rating...74? Hmmm, hate to see a REAL major league fastball. Giambi, of course, garners a 100 overall rating.

TInkered around in Franchise starting with Marlins and in 10 minutes had acquired Paul Konerko, Roger Clemons, Jorge Posada and Casey Fossum. I didn't even give up any of the Marlins stud pitchers (Burnett, Beckett, Penny) and had a projected lineup of 2B Castillo, SS - i forget, whoever FLA shortstop is, 3B - Mike Lowell, 1B Paul Konerko, C - Jorge Posada, CF Juan Pierre, then some bum LF and Juan Encarnacion. Not great, but paired with Clemons, Burnett, Beckett, Penney and Fossum, not horrible.

Did appreciate some of the funny comments when trying to make trades "Our whole team is built around Nomar Garciappara, we're not trading him." LOL, pretty cool there.

Anyways, I still enjoy the game but it won't get the bulk of my console attention this spring. Depending on tastes though, this is right on par with MVP for looks, playability, etc., AND has a deeper Franchise mode (get used to navigating Sega's typically heavy-handed front-end menus).

still waiting to hear if there is a season mode in MVP and if you are allowed to have multiple users for that mode...

                thanks

There IS a season mode aside from Franchise in MVP. But I haven't had time to check yet on the multi-user thing. Sorry.

Youve already mentioned the problem for EA with the lack of slow rollers that was also a problem with TP, but what about stealing in both games? Is it realistic? Is it not possible to get thrown out in either? Which is better in this regard? Also, does MVP allow you to see a players career stats through a player info screen (the data you generall see when looking at free agents) as it has already been mentioned there is no career stats tracked. Could you explain a little on this in MVP?

It's called exaggeration...but after playing all the other games on the market, it's true...

*ball leaves pitcher's hand, ball 1/2 way to home plate, ball in catcher's mitt*

There's like 3 frames of animation for each pitch, lmao. Game blows compared to last year. HH xbox is good, though.
