I don't think Detroit has enough pieces to get this done. I still see Cabrera in LA or Anaheim.

I would take Maybin over anything the Mets have.

I also don't know why anyone would want Willis at this point, to me he's an average pitcher. Unless he gets his weight down and some flexibility back I don't think he's going to be much more than a decent #2 or #2 starter.

Maybin and Miller are two of the top prospects in the game, period. Maybin is probably the best prospect overall. No way do the Mets have better prospects than that.

According to rotoworld.com Cabrera has already lost 15 pounds... he could be dangerous if motivated...

Miguel Cabrera has reportedly lost 15 pounds since beginning a new workout program.

"If you see Miguel Cabrera now, you will be surprised," Ozzie Guillen said. "I told the Marlins he's going to be in the best shape you've ever seen him in. Whoever gets this guy is going to have a heck of a ballplayer with a different mentality. He's a big man and he has to take care of himself. He has the power and talent to be one of the best players ever." Interestingly, Guillen made headlines for calling Cabrera a "fat boy" last season.

If the Tigers won't offer Maybin in a deal for Santana, I'd be shocked to see it here.

Do you want you're #2 starter going 10-15 with a 5.17 ERA. And that's in the friggen NL.

Yep. Maybin and Miller are very impressive prospects. Without doing research, I don't know much about the Mets system, but they'd be hard pressed to come up with 2 prospects as highly rated as Maybin/Miller.

Haven't heard much about Santana rumors to the Tigers, but is it possible they don't want to trade Maybin to a team in the same division? Seems likely.

The Tigers wouldn't even deal Craig Monroe to the Twins last year.

Man, to trade away both Maybin and Miller would really hurt the Tigers farm system but these are young guys they are getting in return. To get a stud like Cabrera and a pitcher like Willis would be great. I do agree with ehh though. Willis hasn't been that great lately and is a bit of a concern. Cabrera's weight and self-motivation after getting a huge contract are another red flag for me. I would pull the trigger on this deal as a Tiger fan and send Inge packing.
