    I wonder why Steve never mentioned these fairly obvious flaws in his 85% version. I read the 14 pages of posts a few days ago -- is there any discussion of the auto-dive problems or the failed sweep tags?

    That's a great question, I don't remember seeing the fielding problems discussed in Steve's MVP impressions thread. Everyone was hung up on the baserunning though.

    I would love to see Steve's reaction to the IGN review, maybe he will post!

        This is a great score for a first year product. The fielding problems would not stop me from giving this game a go. Too good a pitcher hitter interface to pass up.

                Looks like I'll have to pass on MVP this year. That stupid fielding animation bug killed it for me. It just lik the old ASB animation were as soon as a player catched the ball he moves into his "ready to throw" stance. Except in MVP's case it greatly affects gameplay because you can miss a tag. So stupid on EA's part to not fix this, and auto dive/jump. Fix those two things and EA has a contender.

                                I don't know. I'm still tempted to get MVP instead of WSB. I played WSB last year and loved it, but MVP just looks like the type of game I want this year. Fast and fun. I'll wait for Gamespot's review or rent them both before I make my final decision. Buying a video game shouldn't be this hard.

                                    I don't know. I'm still tempted to get MVP instead of WSB. I played WSB last year and loved it, but MVP just looks like the type of game I want this year. Fast and fun. I'll wait for Gamespot's review or rent them both before I make my final decision. Buying a video game shouldn't be this hard.

                                                Does the diving flaw only happen when the fielding is done manually, or is it better when you have the auto or assisted option on ?
