Re: 22 games into my season, 0 CPU homers against me

I am seeing this "lack of homers" issue too. I played my first series last nite w/ the Royals against the Chi Sox. There wasn't s single HR.

I got a few deep w/ Sweeney, but that was it. I figured that w/ the Royals pitching someone on the White Sox would take care of business, but it never happened. I am actually going to rent WSB tonite to see what the differences are.

In the two games that I have actually played until the end, there have been a total of 5 HRs hit. (2 for me, 3 for CPU)

I have seen various homers hit in games that I've played just to check out stadiums also. I still say it has a lot to do with how you pitch a game. If you're just painting corners or throwing low all the time you're not going to see homers that often. I pitch to all areas of the strike zone, including the batters' hot zones, and they take the ball deep when they get a hold of one.

correct me if i'm wrong...but aren't a lot of HR's in the MLB the result of a mistake pitch.....so if you hitting your spots (corners) then i would imagine not a lot of HR would be hit...sounds like your pitching is too good
Bummed that you're not on my ignore list yet?.....Don't worry, I'm sure you will be very soon.

Maybe turning off the ball cursor or having it on fade, will make the pitching harder and thus force you to give up some homruns. I'll give that a try.

Played my first franchise game, the CPU hit a bomb on me.

Try this, turn off the strikezone and hot/cold zones. Pitchers don't see this in real life, why should they now... I think it gives you too much of an advantage. It's better to guess where NOT to pitch it.

I've had mine on fade since I got the game. It stays long enough to let you pick what square you want to throw to, but then it disappears quickly after that making exact precision difficult.

True, the fade is the best. Ive giviin up plenty of HR's exspecially my trip to Houston where I learned you have to pitch on the outside in that game to right handers. Im really learning to hit HR's with my sluggers. Try to work the count and see if they throw a hanger and press up and X and hope it goes.

maybe you guys should use a crappy team like my Padres. I gave up a few homers in a game to Shawn Green using Kevin Jarvis as my pitcher. I'm playing on all-star
