I used WSBFanatic's sliders the other night and here are the results, I use the Reds:

Cin 4 12 0
LA 2 8 0
Hr: Casey, Branyan
LA pitching-88 pitches/68 strikes 9K 0BB (probably 10-15 balls I swung at as well)
Cin pitching-85 pitches/60 strikes 4K 1BB (intentional )
Very realistic game, but the AI is still not hitting the Reds pitching very well, and after Opening Day yesterday (a 10-1 loss to Pittsburgh,) we all know that is a problem b/c the Reds staff just plain sucks! I will give it few more games and I will have to find a way to get the AI to hit better, not more, just in the right situations. It seems like the AI will get two singles in a row and then K 3 times, or hit a pop-up and two fly balls and not score. The AI doesn't bunt runners over enough or hit and run enough IMO! The AI is soft right now but I still love WSB!

hmm...sorry to hear about the CPU hitting problem. The only thing I can think of for that is increasing the CPU BA to 30 or 35. Hope that helps?

hmm...sorry to hear about the CPU hitting problem. The only thing I can think of for that is increasing the CPU BA to 30 or 35. Hope that helps?

Batting eye strikes 45
CPU throw strikes 10
Stealing 55

Settings, ALL STAR, pitch speed medium, Pitch cursor on, Strike zone off, Variable Pitching medium

You see some walks with these sliders. I played a 4-3 game won in 10 innings with White Sox over Indians last night. Lots of fun. I have both ASB and WSB and like the different styles of play. I have a Cardinals franch in ASB with cursor hitting, and timed hitting for WSB with white sox.

I tried 2 games with those sliders using the Cardinals and lost to the Marlins 4-0 and beat the Marlins 1-0. The 4-0 game I was completely shut down by Carl Pavano, a pitcher with a 53 rating. Matt Morris had 8 ks in the loss. The 1-0 game that I won concerned me a bit. My pitcher, Rick Ankiel had 14 ks and the Marlins pitcher, A.J. Burnett had 13 ks. The Marlins only had 3 hits against Ankiel, who is rated 69. Looks to me with those settings that my pitchers are way too effective, but I'll play more today to see if it gets better.

I see now that I need to raise the CPU hitting to around 30-35. Gonna try that and see what happens.

CPU BA - 30
CPU BE(B) - 90
CPU BE(S) - 85
CPU TS - 1
CPU SB - 40

I had CPU BA at 3 before and it gave me incredible pitching numbers. I had 5 K's and 2-3 BBs. But in the lat inning, and maybe this is just me, but the CPU keeps comming back. i realized how difficult it was to finish a game with a closer. I decided to lower the CPU BA to 30 since 25 was getting me too many Ks. I feel that I'm closing in on the CPU hitting abiliy, but it'll take some more games.

For the rest of this week, that's where the settings will be at. By Friday night, I'll see if this still gives me a realistic game. I think the only thing I'll change from here on out is the CPU BA from 30 to 35. No more, no less.

I will try these in the first game of my franchise with the Reds since I am starting over with the new rosters and I will post the box score when I am done! These look really good to me!
