It also happened to me last night. The funny thing is I'm not sure how. I know I was the visiting team and when I went to bat, I had the pitcher's view.

Re: huge glitch, but it IS possible to bat in behind the pitcher view!!!!!!!!!!
Here's how you do it...
1. Select the team you want to play with as the away team. (Only way to hit from pitcher's view.)
2. You have to enable CPU pitcher cam
3. At the Controller select screen you select to control the home team.
4. Once the game begins and the home team pitcher is on the mound, you simply pause the game and you change to control the visiting team.
This works every time. I haven't been able to get it to work as the home team.Comment

It sounds like there is a little competition going on in this thread
So, who is telling the truth?
(a) those that say that you can only do this when you're the home team?; or
(b) those that say that you can only do this when you're the away team?Comment

I hate to argue, but it only works for the home team with me. No matter what I do I cannot get it to work with the away team. And the method you mentioned doesn't work for me, and seeing as how I had never done anything like that prior to having this happen the first time leads me to believe that there is something else that can cause this. For what it's worth, I don't have to do any of the steps you mentioned above to make this happen, EVERYTIME I start a game as the home team now it happens, no funky team swapping or anything. I can switch back and forth between behind the pitcher and behind the batter during a game, but in order to switch back into behind the pitcher view I have to go to the controller select screen during the game and move the control off of my team and then back on. Then when I resume the game it is back in behind the pitcher view. Anyway, it seems like we got more people looking into this now, so hopefully we can find a definitive way to get this working for both the home and away teams.Comment
