Re: AJ Burnett
Apparently Burnett's agent wants even MORE money. They're looking for a Carlos Zambrano type deal. A GM would have to be out of his freakin' mind to give Burnett that kind of dough.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: AJ Burnett
CC is definitely better than Mussina. Signing him isn't just a flip.
But, the Yankees do need more pitching."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Hard yes, but it's very, very easy to find pitchers with less than 20 wins who are markedly better than many do win 20.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Re: AJ Burnett
If he gets the same run support/luck, he will win more games over the course of the year. More importantly, he gives you a better chance to win future games.
You guys are using Mike and the Mad Dog logic, and that's not a good thing.Originally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment
