Maybe I'm in the minority but for me it's really, really hard to feel sorry for a guy who signed a 252 mil. friggin' contract and then CHEATED on top of that, flat out lied to the world in 2007 during an interview, and then is only "coming clean" because he was caught red handed.

It's spin control...plain and simple.

It makes me sick. I don't care if it's A-Rod or anyone else. Dude is no better than Bonds, Clemens, etc.

Keep dreaming if you ever expect ANYONE to say anything like that. He's addressing a lot of hard-nosed questions that Gammons is asking him.

He's really contradicting himself now. Saying earlier that he didn't know what he was doing was illegal but now saying it feels good to finally get the monkey off his back. It doesn't really add up.

Obviously not everyone is going to respect him. Maybe I should say I respect what he is doing? There are plenty of guys who have completely avoided everything.

Whether or not he was forced to do this interview, he's still doing it. He's saying he's responsible and owning up to it. I don't know what else anyone can expect from him at this point.

The people that are really idiots in all this are Barry and Clemons and Sosa, and Mcgwire...The guys who think so highly of themselves, they would have us all convinced WE are the morons to have even suggested they took steroids, and lied about it.

A-Rod just needs to come 100% clean. no PR BS.

Did you see what Tim just mentioned on ESPN? I pretty much feel the way he explained it:

"It would be naive to believe everything he said but he offered much more information regarding everything than anyone expected."

This is also why Peter Gammonds is up there as one of my favorite baseball analysts. The questions he asked were the ones everyone wanted to know.

I think he's next in the crosshairs now that A-Rod has gone down.

I used to love to watch Jr. play CF when he was at his peak but damn if it doesn't look good for him...with all the injuries, diminishing numbers, etc.

If he goes down, the era is done. It's already teetering on the brink and if a few more big names come out, it's over the edge.
