Why wasn't Scot Shields on the mound in the first place?

This inning is just chalked full of fail. Shields is probably the best non-closer in the MLB, and we don't use him?

I am so glad Johnson probably won't be asked to do this again. After talking a big game before the this thing started, he's been just as bad as Martinez was in '06. And for as good of a player he's been in his career I am glad Jeter will be too old to play in the next WBC. Then we won't have to worry about some gutless manager being afraid to insert a better player into the field over Jeter. Johnson should have been relieved of his duties the moment it became obvious he was going to DH a plus defender like Rollins while leaving poor defenders like Jeter and Dunn in the field.

And speak of the devil, another Dunn blunder out in right. Though I do feel bad for the guy since he shouldn't have been put out there to begin with.

I'll blame Davey Johnson more than Oswalt. Adam Dunn should not be playing RF. He is beyond awful defensively.

LOL...this 9th inning for Dunn in RF is laughable. He cost them two runs in the last 1/3 of an inning alone. Can all MLB managers PLEASE start valuing defense?

I don't blame any of the US players, at least they stepped up and played. It's the ones that wouldn't play and the GM's and owners who didn't want to take this seriously enough who I'm mad at. Japan and Korea deserve to be in the final game because they took this tournament seriously. Gotta say I'm really impressed with the quality of Japans pitchers, they can bring it.
