    Let Davey Johnson go.

Game was fun, but pissed me off. Blown opportunities, weird decisions, leaving Oswalt in WAY too long. It was ridiculous.

Japanese fans are CRAZY! I was pretty pissed that we weren't able to fill the stadium, but I guess that's LA for you.

    It was pretty damn special.

It was the largest crowd for a WBC game on US soil, so I wouldn't bash LA too much for the attendance. The Dodgers draw 3-4 mil fans every year, so I think if the US players had taken the tournament more seriously maybe the fans would too. Also tickets were way overpriced imo.

People shouldn't blame Jeter for this loss. It's not like USA had a shortstop who could go 4/4 with a walk and play good defense.

And Dunn is more to blame. He was way worse on defense than Jeter. It's not like there's a position that doesn't field and only hits we could put him in.

          Exactly.

The last game was the most fan support the USA had in the tournament (the announcers made a comment about it). I actually think it will benefit the WBC having the championship game in LA. There will be a huge turn out for Japan v. Korea.

Oh wow. You must just have a sore spot for Rollins being a Nats fan.

I thought they cared, but it still looked like they were just going through the motions. I hope next time we can get some players that will give you their all. The only problem is that will not be good for the team that player plays for. They might be hurt before the season starts.

I agree. I think pitching was a big problem. The starters had a 7.77 ERA. But that should not be an excuse. We had what we had. Other countries (DR) didn't have all their best players. Reguardless of if it was the time of year, injuries, at bats, innings pitched, fan support, manager mistakes or work needed. I believe the two best teams made the finals. The key word being team.

Edit: I'm still proud of all the US players who played in this WBC.

That was impressive. Watching this game has me pumped. The crowd is phenomenal. Even the non-Korean folk are banging those noisemakers LOL

What an amazing defensive play. These guys are good! It's really interesting to see how the Asian game differs from the US game, in some ways it's better with the defense and small ball.
