    playing baseball

i know a lot of you people have/do play baseball. otherwise you probably wouldn't post here. anyways. i had a game tonight against one of our conference rivals. this team is good. we were lucky to knock them out last year in the quarter finals for state. anyways we didn't play good at all tonight. we ended up losing 16-0 in 5 innings. last year we went down to state with pretty much the same team. this year we are only missing 2 people. here's the point. in the 4th inning out CF and RF were running for a ball. out CF is a really fast guy and is a good baserunner. so the CF and RF both dive for the ball. nobody was talking and when the ball came down only the RF got up. our CF is now laying in a hospital bed with a severly dislocated elbow and probably torn muscls, tendons, etc. we had to call an ambulance to take him away.

    here's the whole point.

During a game has there ever been a really bad collison or anything where somebody had to go to the hospital?
    Teams:

    NFL - Packers & Browns
    MLB - Brewers & Twins
NCAA Football - Wisconsin, LSU, Virginia Tech
    Soccer - Arsenal, Wolverhampton
    NHL - Wild

    Re: playing baseball

I went to the hospital last year. I play CF in a mens leage and there was a bloop hit right over 2b. My, the 2b and ss all were running full speed and I called the ball. I a feet first slide to catch the ball and my SS who is a big guy also slid. He slid to go under me not knowing I was sliding too.

Anyway, both his knees went into my ribs at full speed. I broke 2 ribs, bruised my spleen and bruised my lung. I couldn't do anyting for 3 months.

I think I remember you mentioning that in the forums last year. Is that why you got so many posts.
