Re: The Official Pimp Yo Prospect Thread

A lot of San Diego Padres prospects have gotten off to very bad starts, with a few of them looking like they've finally figured things out (Jedd Gyorko and Corey Spangenberg).

Austin Hedges missed some time during the middle of April, but has played the past several days and currently has a six-game hitting streak. While he has a .949 OPS, it's still too early to make any assessment on his hitting ability since it has only been 14 games.

Adys Portillo, who was signed from the same IFA class as Michael Ynoa, has started the season well, however he still has some control issues.

Cody Hebner might be a sleeper in the San Diego system early on.

DJ LeMahieu .321avg|.363OBP|1HR|24RBI|19K|12BB in AAA. Rox put in humidor at Colorado Springs as well, not bad. Will be competing for a starting job at 2B next year, wouldn't surprise me if he's up if we trade Scutaro.

Matt Adams today for the Cardinals. A Big LH 1B with legit power from a linedrive swing. Doesn't walk much though.

Those are straight video game numbers, playing on 'Rookie' with all the sliders maxed out in your favor.

He has the best power grade in the minors now that Harper is up for good.

Yeah, but he is averaging less than 4 IP per start.

True, but if he was a reliever, I would be saying the same thing. The O's are rightfully being very careful with his workload.

Our compensatory pick last year, not bad for a guy who was all glove and not much of a bat.

Hamilton stole four bases last night, giving him 67 steals in 56 games this season. Minor-league seasons are 140 games, rather than 162 games, yet he’s still on pace for 160 steals on the year. Seriously: One. Six. Zero.
