The Peavy starting to pitch like his old self again. Granted it's been against the Royals and Blue Jays, but he certainly needed games like those.

I am freaking loving the Padres right now. I'll always be a Braves fan first, but since my move out here in 2007 the Padres have come to have a special place for me. Even when they sucked the last few years I've enjoyed going out to PETCO, so seeing them have success early on, no matter how fleeting, is really cool

Yeah Peavy=awesome tonight. Oh well that ends the 6 game win streak for the Jays. Needless to say this week far surpassed my expectations.

Larry Stone wrote a blog on how the Mariners will challenge Roger Maris's record of 61 HR's, at their current pace.

Sabermetrics or not, I don't know how anyone expected this team to win

You can go back and see what I said before the season started...I didn't expect much from them and in a pool I'm in have them finishing 3rd behind Anaheim/Texas.

It's like 2008 all o ver again. Big trade for Bedard, who I'm like "he's a 5.1 inning per game guy" ...and then when we signed Wilkerson to play RF I knew we were done.
