I think it's gonna be a close race. Pujols has been phenomenal for the Cards this year, and is really staking a claim that he deserves the MVP award. However, Bonds is undoubtedly more valuable to his team than Pujols (as evidenced by the Giants' ineptitude without him), so, I'd say he's more deserving of the MVP.

The amazing thing is that he's having this kind of year as his father is dying, which can't be easy.

And that a 40 year old is unquestionably the MVP over a 23 year old. I mean, how much of a drop off can Bonds have over just a few years? Couldn't he very well play into his late 40s and still have .280 with a .400 obp?

Yes, i think Bell missed/messed up a cutoff that allowed a run to score the inning before and Kent was angry. He got in Bell's face about it and told him off. Barry and grabbed his shoulder and told him to stop, Kent pushed him and we all know what happened after that.

Also you say that no teammates like Barry? Aurillia, Foppert have all been on ESPN saying what an amazing guy he is, not to mention his amazing feats. Furthermore, the Giants local coverage has continually reported on what a great atmosphere there is in the Giants clubhouse. The complete opposite of a year ago.

Jeff Kent is a class-A RedNeck. who has been quoted as saying "I don't even like baseball" Letting him go was the best move they made this off-season. Even better than letting Dusty go.

Felipe Alou has said he's the best "star" he has ever coached because of his work ethic and friendliness. Hell, Bonds is usually the first person at PacBell. Yes, he beats the coaches there. Tell me you wouldn't like that if you were Felipe?

Furthermore, the Giants local coverage has continually reported on what a great atmosphere there is in the Giants clubhouse. The complete opposite of a year ago.
hmmmm, let's see, who's gone now?
hell ya, kent was the problem.
Jeff Kent is a class-A RedNeck. who has been quoted as saying "I don't even like baseball" Letting him go was the best move they made this off-season. Even better than letting Dusty go.

                                Hmm...

Giants fans didn't find anything wrong with him when he was being very productive with the bat...

                                I see how it is.
