Prado would be perfect fit at 2B/3B for Rockies. I heard Seth Smith's name thrown in there as a base.

Carrol is 38, but he's getting better with age. He had a 3.1 WAR in 2010, his best, and hit .290/.360 OBP playing everyday last season.

He didn't break into the majors until he was 28, and hasn't been playing everday since then.

Like fine wine, just getting better with age. haha. A 1 year deal? Only 2-3 million, there's no risk at all.

He also said he would love to play for the Tigers. Sign him up.

The Wright rumblings have been going on for years, it's just talk, it's always been. It would require Turner, Jackson, and a lot more, including Castellanos. And we wouldn't have a centerfielder or leadoff hitter.

Reyes visited Marlins today and heard from sources that it went well and that's it's very likely he will go there. We'll see how things play out though

Yes it would, i have grown tired of seeing a new 2b every year. It would be good to see Prado at 3b and Ellis back at 2b...i will continue to dream lol.

I hate to say it, but the Rockies wont pull the trigger. Like you i have heard Smith's name, along with Charlie Blackmon. Thing is, the management team is still a little gun shy because of the Hampton, Neagle deal all those years ago. So i would say his potential $4-4.5 million a year isn't too thrilling for our cheap a$$ team.

$10 says they will get some journeymen they already had before like Jamey Carrol, or someone thats cheap and near the end of their career. They had their chance to sway big talent after they went to the Series, instead they thought they had a good nucleus in place.

So I see Posada says he's not returning to the Yanks. Honestly I don't know of many teams that would take him as he's very stubborn about wanting to continue to play at the catcher position. It should be interesting to see what happens with him.

Not sure I understand a Prado for Smith deal..

Their stats are very similar. Smith shows a little more power, but I'd chalk most of that advantage up to Coors. I'd really hate to see Prado go simply as salary relief. If you're going to move him, there needs to be an upgrade somewhere, or at least a decent prospect or two.

Michael Cuddyer is apparently high on the Orioles priority list. Idiotic player signings like these is why we're in the spot we are. Cuddyer's not bad, but he's past his prime and is someone you sign when you're one complimentary piece away, not when you're coming off a 69 win season and have major holes at other positions.

As well as smith i heard the rockies might give up Charlie Blackmon as well. Hell, the rockies are so terrible at trades you might even get a pitcher or two...

Could they really, theoretically get both Reyes and Pujols?

Or is it "almost" done because they want to take their shot at Albert, first?
