It looks to be official from many counts. If that's the true price, I'm glad we have Napoli at first

That is an absurd amount of money for a DH.

So does that take them out of the Cespedes race? If so I have confidence we can beat the Cubs the way we've been handing out $$ lol

Part of me wants this to be true very, very badly

                  Part of me doesn't.

We shall see, cubs haven't spent any $$ really. I think there saving for Cespedes or Soler.

Re: The Hot Stove League Thread

The only reason the Tigers would play this money is because their owner is going all out for a championship, he's getting old.

I don't believe it. I expect him and Cabrera to switch time out at DH/1st. Resigning Verlander soon and Cabrera in 3 years willl be tough, but Illitch wants that championship.

They always act like they can't make big moves and do something huge. They act poor then signed Valverde/Damon. This year I actually believed them. Wow. Wow.

Fielder and Cabrera, 3-4....regardless of how this looks down the road, they are trying to win one. They'll take the risk.

Heard they are very focused on landing him, but part of that scares me I have no idea how good he'll be if it'll be worth it no matter who gets him. Hanley needs to get to him as I think they share the same agent lol.

If we could get a good CF our lineup would probably be one of the more well rounded in the MLB for the future besides Catcher.
