The move had to be done. If you hope to salvage anything from Figgins, you have to put him in a role he's most comfortable in. I'm anticipating the Opening Day lineup will look like this:

    3B- Figgins
    2B- Ackley
    RF - Ichiro
    1B - Smoak
    DH - Montero
    LF - Carp
    C- Olivo
    CF- Guti
    SS- Ryan

That lineup already looks more promising than anything the M's trotted out last year.

Agreed, there's at least some hope there. Actually kinda excited about the potential of it all.

        I kid, I kid...

You have to be able to reach the ball in order to make an error anyways, so I'm sure he'll be fine.
Are you trying to say you would rather have Brandon Inge? lol

Are you one of the people who is excited for your team to lay down a lot of bunts agaisnt the Tigers? I'm sure you team must be a blast to watch then.

If bunting wins a game, then why not?

How many times does laying down a bunt win a game? Hardly ever. Sacrifice bunts actually decrease a teams chance of scoring in most situations.

Teams can bunt agaisnt the Tigers and rightfully so, and people act like a continous string of bunts will allow them to beat the Tigers every day. But nobody will be laughing when Fielder comes up the next inning and hits a 3 run homer.

I have no problem with people questioning Cabrera at third base, everybody should have doubts. But the alternative is having Inge instead of Fielder, and in that case, is anybody really going to take Inge over Fielder?

Anyways I'm not trying to make a big deal about this, it's Spring Training it's a happy time. And I don't think you caught my sarcarm about the 2nd team in Texas. I was making fun of the fact that the Astros are one of the worst teams baseball has seen in the past decade. I was well aware of their being two teams in the state.

              No. I despise bunts.

And no on Brandon Inge as well... But I will continue to make fun this potentially atrocious defensive situation until proven otherwise.

Haha I gotcha, I said kind of because they're basically a AAA team.

Ok and i'll make fun of Babe Ruth's lack of speed on the basepaths.

I think Montero will be batting 4th by the all star break, He's a special player

So basically the Jays are set at every position except LF. John Farrell has come out and said that Travis Snider and Erick Thames will be battling all spring for that position. I think that Snider has been ruined as a Blue Jay and needs a change of scenery badly and I really like Thames so there's that

Thames isn't as good a fielder as Snider but I think he has more potential with his bat and he's got some speed to him. It'll be interesting to see how the position battle goes.

I hope some team realizes that Snider could be that good player he was supposed to be on the Jays, and wants to trade for him.

Jays have too much OF though. Fransisco,Davis,Thames,Snider all battling for 1 spot? Rasmus and Bautista are the CF,RF already. Our IF is set already, and its a great IF.

For once, our bullpen is set too! I wonder what we're doing about our rotation. Maybe we could trade Snider and someone else for a better SP? Romero,Morrow are our 2 starters, but that's only thing we know. Alvarez looks like he could be a real good 3-4 SP.

Sounds like Stanton is working on going to RF more, if he can do that with his power that's going to be a scary thing.

Fransisco is just going to be a bench guy who can start a few games, as for Davis? Well he's been a disappointment but I think he's also just a bench/depth guy as I can't see him winning the LF spot. It's really Thames vs. Snider.

Don't get how Davis was disappointing? He had an injury in april and then when he came back, he hit almost .300 in May. June he struggled alot, but picked things back up in July before being injured for rest of season. He got 34 stolen bases as well in 95 games(which was his best stolen bases average in his career, even better than season average when he got 50SB)
