Ok, yeah i realize that , but they all could have been called up this spring but they decided not to because of their age and they wanted a little more experience, but regarless half of the MLB dosent have that great of an Ace, im just saying if they hit their ceiling, it'll be over.

We have a young *** team, with good player right on the edge on being called up to the majors..
They compared Edinson Volquez to Pedro Martinez, look how that turned out. All they are is prospects, unproved minor league players who could go either way, We'll never know until they play in the bigs.

And I don't see Texas and LA going away anytime soon, the core of those teams are a bunch of young, locked up talent (especially Texas.)

I think Seattle is going in the right direction, but WS by 2014...maybe in The Show, but in RL that's just as likely as the Cubs winning in 2013.
I understand what your saying, im just saying if the M's young star pitcher hit their ceiling then we will have a great young rotation, and we have a ton of young talent in our line up now, and a lot more on the way, thats all im saying.

I know, i understand some will flop, but even if 2 of the 4 turned out great that'd still be a good young rotation. And if the M's turn it around, start winning more games, we'd get more money to play with in free agency.

If all of KC's prospects hit their ceiling they'd be 100x better than Seattle for the next 15-20 years...and thus by the logic presented in this thread, would win the next 6 WS. But this is baseball, people are more likely to not reach their ceiling than do it. There's just as many Justin Verlander's as there are Jeremy Bonderman's (just to use my Tigers as an example.) So I agree 100% BK.

No? All that made sense to me? Either way it's just my opinion and you guy can drag out the conversation as long as you want, but like i said, this is just my opinion, if you wanna hate on the M's go ahead, regardless of what you say it wont change my mind. I understand some player will flop, it's a given, but from what i've seen from our young pitchers, and from everything i read, good and bad, i have a real good belief atleased 2 of the big 4 will make it. And one already has.

And again, even those young guys in Ackley, Smoak, Montero, and Carp aren't sure things. I bet at least 1 of those 4 will burnout and not be as good as you think. My money is on Smoak or Carp, but it could be any of them. And Felix could very well go to a small market team with a history of winning...he said he didn't like big markets, never said he wouldn't leave Seattle for a better team.

Yes, but you guaranteed a world title by 2014.

To be honest, I'd be surprised if the M's made it to the playoffs by 2014. Especially in a division with the Angels and Rangers.

How do you know he wont though? You cant tell the future and say he wont be dominant? Players get hurt, what if some top aces got hurt or just didnt preform to their maximum ablility? It happens all the time, it's baseball.
