Umpire error, it's what makes the game great. Right?

    RIGHT???

I don't care what anybody says, there's absolutely no good reason why with the technology available, and the money that the MLB is making, that they can't get that kind of **** right. **** the human element, it's a bunch of bull**** nostalgia.

Agreed about instant replay. Though in this case, they just need to hold the umpire accountable. All he needed to do was check for the ball.

Love the Braves offense busting out. 17 hits and an awesome performance from Hudson? Nice.

Huddy is the only starter I have any confidence in.

Aaron Laffey pitched surprisingly well for being a soft tossing lefty in a ballpark like Fenway. The Jays certainly had a chance to blow this game wide open early on but it seemed after Valentine had a somewhat animated conversation that he settled down a bit.

            Oh and Aroldis Chapman....

Way to show up the opposition. If he was a starter I bet he'd get beaned during his next AB on principle alone.

DeWayne Wise....Yeah I think we need Instant Replay or better umpires. Maybe both?

Nasty pitch! I probably would have jumped out of the way.

Amongst savvy baseball fans, you would lose that argument. For THIS year, it's Chooch. He's 33 and will probably never see another All-Star game.

I hate this form of voting. There should be a rating system, at least for the starters.

Not trying to start a pissing contest, but what exactly do you mean "savvy" baseball fans?

Molina is leading in almost all offensive categories for catchers, and is the best defensive catcher in the game.

Edit: Chooch has the highest average and 2 more doubles. But Molina is still hitting .317 with more HRs and more RBIs, more walks and less strikeouts, and somehow more stolen bases, and is still better defensively.

Chase Utley has officially been activated from the disabled list and is batting third for the Phillies tonight!

Chooch has a higher SLG % (almost 60 pts higher), OBP %, OPS, OPS+ (1.006 vs .888) . You're gonna bring THREE more RBI's and TWO more HR's to this? Molina's also had 50 more AB's to play with. Chooch has 3 E's to Molina's 2 and has 6 DP's to Molina's 1 for fielding.

I'm not saying Chooch is a better catcher overall perennially. I'm saying THIS year, he deserves it above any other catcher.

That's what I mean by "savvy".

It's fine to agree to disagree and have differing opinions on this, but don't insult my baseball IQ by implying I'm not "savvy."

I will say that the higher SLG % and OBP % is a result of his higher average and doesn't mean he's actually better in those categories

The point is neither of them are going to start. That's the real debate.

You asked. I answered. If you took it personally, not my problem. But by saying that just because someone is higher in a category doesn't mean he's better, well......

                                A 2-man who scores 30 pts/gm vs. a 2-man who scores 15 pt/gm doesn't mean he actually a better scorer.

A wide receiver who averages 8 catches and 163 yd/gm vs. a WR who averages 6 catches and 65 yd/gm doesn't mean he a better receiver

A left winger who has 35 goals and 47 assists vs. a right winger who has 12 goals and 22 assists isn't necessarily a better offensive skater.

                                Ya...now I get it.
