    Re: Yankees Pitching Strategy

Brown to boston is kindof insane. No offense, but the only way they would trade Nomar to LA is if the Arod deal went through, and then they would go for an outfielder (shawn green? brian jordan?) to fill manny's spot. To suggest yet another star pitcher when the Sox don't need it (need I mention the Kim factor again?) is kind of ridiculous. If I was them I'd go after Jordan and pitching. If the Foulke deal fell through I'd make a push for gagne too. That would be awesome.

I'd take Rivera over Gagne in a heartbeat. Rivera is one of the most dominant pitchers in the postseason of all time. Who knows where Gagne would fit in? I would rather go with a proven product, and not someone who hasnt even been in the playoffs.

This just in: Juan Rivera is an OUTFIELDER. He's not a pitcher, dude. Where gagne would fit in? hmm...55 saves? cy young? yeah...Gagne IS the proven product...screw the fact that he hasn't gone to a world series, I don't think it would wear him much, if at all. He's not flakey like Kim.

Gagne just put up the greatest numbers by a relief pitcher EVER....he is the best, Gagne owns Rivera anyone who says otherwise must have never seen Gagne pitch. How many blown saves did Mo' have last year? 5+?

Yes, but the regular season hardly matters. Someone could have 5+ blown saves, or they can have 75 saves, I'd rather go with someone I pretty much know will perform in the playoffs, than someone who isnt proven in the playoffs. If Gagne makes the playoffs and pitches well, then I might say otherwise. For now, its Rivera.
