      How it SHOULD be:

      2b. Todd Walker
      lf. Moises Alou
      rf. Sammy Sosa
      lf. Derrek Lee
      cf. Corey Patterson
      3b. Aramis Ramirez
      ss. Alex Gonzalez/ Mark Grudzielanek
      c. Michael Barrett

      What it probably will be:

      2b. Mark Grudzielanek
      lf. Moises Alou
      rf. Sammy Sosa
      cf. Corey Patterson
      1b. Derrek Lee
      3b. Aramis Ramirez
      ss. Alex Gonzalez
      c. Michael Barrett.

I bet after going through all the possible lineups, Baker will realize Patterson should not be hitting higher than 3rd. Our best number two hitter after Grudz / Walker is Alou, so it makes perfect sense for him to go there. Patterson might as well lead off instead of going into an OBP necessary 2-hole.

Michael Barrett is a 27 y.o. catcher who has yet to live up to his potential or his salary.

Hopefully he'll finally have that breakout year.

Barrett's got a world of potential.

He was an all-star with Montreal two years ago, then got injured in the second half. When he recovered from his injury, the Expos made him a platoon player.

                              Explain that one.
