I just hope maddux can actually win 15 games for them this year
Just wait till Arsenal moves into Emirates Stadium.

He has won at least 16 games in 15 straight seasons, so i don't see why this year will be any different, and this would be the best Cub team he has ever played on,
to give you an idea of how long it has been since Maddux left the Cubs, Sammy Sosa was in his first season as a cub and split the season between the Cubs and AAA, coming off a then career high 15 HR with the Chicago White Sox,
            another comparison,

            The Cubs lineup then:
            C Joe Girardi
            1B Mark Grace
            2B Ryne Sandberg
            SS Jose Vizcaino
            3B Steve Beuchele
            LF Derrick May
            CF Sammy Sosa
            RF Andre Dawson

            the Cubs lineup now:
            C Michael Barrett
            1B Derek Lee
            2B Mark Grudzielanek
            SS Alex Gonzalez
            3B Aramis Ramirez
            LF Moises Alou
            CF Cory Patterson
            RF Sammy Sosa

the Cubs are clearly better now than 12 years ago, and back then the Cubs did not have anyone close to Kerry Wood or Mark Prior.

no but i mean now maddux is getting older, and last year you could clearly see the toll that age was taking, besides now he won't be fortunate enought to have that great offense, and plus now he is in a hitter friendly park

As long as he didn't sign with the Yankees. I'm okay with it.

Maddux has always pitched well in Wrigley, I guarantee he has a good amount left in the tank.

Plus, look at it this way. Instead of having Estes pitching every 5 days the Cubs will have Maddux. That is a HUGE upgrade old maddux or not...
