Ok. don't bother with making a point or anything. Just resort to personal attacks and be done with it.

You said i was dumb...that qualifies as a personal attack. If you disagree that's fine but you should at least try and make a point.

Oh come on, it's posts like these that give Yankee fans a bad name. Major League Baseball is comepletley different from the real world, and if you can't figure that out on your own, there isn't much of a point in explaining it to you.

What happened to Baseball being a "metaphor for life"?

The whole thing was a half joke anyway but I think a legit point that when talking about sports a lot of people seem to like the socialist/communist way of doing things.

Than why doesnt Bill Gates buy a team and stack them top to bottom with the greatest lineup possible in sports today? He could do that woulc it be exciting? no

Any sport which doesnt make all teams/participants start at the same level playing field is a sham. Has no respect in my eyes. Thats like a sprinter running the 100 meters being allowed to lineup 20 meters ahead of the rest of the pack because he can buy his spot. Its [censored] is what it is. Every team should have the same financial restraints and a team should only succeed or fail baised on its own mistakes or failures. The NFL does a great job of this.

Re: Since When Did Everyone Become a Socialist/Communist?

Because the Yankees are not an independent entity. They are part of the MLB - and their actions are seen as a detriment to the sport as a whole.

I have no problem with the Yankees - Steinbrenner is playing by the rules, and is putting his money where his mouth is. He also has a solid business model - build the best quality product you can, and then the sales (tickets, TV, jerseys, hats, etc.) come rolling in.

But it's hard to deny, when looking at the success of the NFL, that parity and a more level playing field boosts fan support of the sport as a whole.

And any league has, at heart, some socialism - everyone plays by the same rules - same roster size, same players on the field, same amount of strikes. This "socialist" movement you refer to is merely an attempt to extend these rules into the financial arena.

BUT - John Henry is a buffoon and an *** and a sore loser.
