I loved him as a player but he really rubs me the wrong way fairly often as a manager, IMO he's lucky we have the talent we do because if this was a rebuild he was hired into I don't have much faith he'd succeed, he just seems clueless about a lot of things even substitutions and pitching changes over the course of the season.

I want him to succeed but I'm a little worried we might be wasting some prime years as championship contenders with him at the helm. Here's to hoping he can prove me wrong.
He is a good players manager and he works well with the running game since he was a former catcher, but his bullpen management and pinch hitting can be questioned at times.

Oh and I wish we'd shift more like the Rays/Pirates since most of our pitchers are ground ball pitchers.

Wow, just saw that the kid had a perfect game through 8.2 IP only to walk the 27th guy he faced.

Agreed the players love him and that's always a plus but I wish his strategy was more sound, many of his moves just defy logic and a big part of that is inexperience as a manager but that's why he was a risky hire for a team that is setup to win currently (and hopefully for a long time if things continue how they are now).

I have never seen a no-no end like that...crazy. Awesome that on the last day of the season, a team going no where can still have something that exciting happen. Love this game.

I'm happy for Henderson Alvarez. I have high hopes for that kid and thought the Blue Jays might've bailed on him a little early.

                    Congrats.

The Rangers keep bunting in the most important game of the season.

                      **** you, Ron Washington.

Atlanta really screwed the pooch by ever getting in a situation where they needed anything from the Cubs...

Well I'm hoping that Matheny isn't going to join that group, however Dusty has out managed him on a couple occasions...

Ron Washington just pulled one of the best pitchers in baseball, with 85 pitches in the 6th inning, while he has a 2-1 lead.....

Braves get the Dodgers in the NLDS now...really wanted to avoid Koufax/Drysdale (Kershaw/Grienke). Oh well.
