Disappointed in Piazza's low (62.2%) total…dude should be a lock as much as Thomas.

What is going on with Raines…the guy should be a LOCK and he can't get any traction.

      Clemens/Bonds go down in support...
On Biggio, if he get's one more vote, it's 74.95%, which get's rounded up and he's in the HoF.

So, it's one vote that kept Biggio out.

Also, 16 people didn't vote for Greg Maddux.

Baseball Hall of Fame is full of the most elites sons of bitches I've ever seen. I also think ITT has a real vote, because somehow, someway, Jacque Jones did get a vote. As did JT Snow.

Jacque Jones and JT Snow got votes? And Maddux isn't on 16 ballots? What in the bloody hell sport did these people watch over the past 20 years? Surely it couldn't have been the same sport I've been watching...unbelievable.

Uhhh no Bagwell!! Are you freaking kidding me. I'm honestly surprised Thomss got in, with these bastard voters. Biggio, Piazza, Raines, Bonds, Clemens... should all be in. This isn't the hall to me anymore.

Very predictable on Costas' part. The man is as old school as they come and probably thinks they're the worst thing to ever happen to baseball. I can see some merit to the argument that in the long run they weren't great but let's not be jubilant and giddy about it the way Costas was.

Biggio is definitely getting in next year unless there's a lock or two eligible next year.

I like our class more with Biggio and Piazza being added. I am surprised that our support for Kent (15%) matched the actual support…have people forgotten how good this guy was?

Dan Le Batard is my new favorite sports personality. His write-up as to why he did it is great.

They don't round up…they talked about that. You have to get over 75% cleanly, no rounding.

Sure, I watched him as a Giant for quite a while. Great year in 2000 and compared to other second basemen he had excellent power and overall offensive contributions, but on the whole he was only a very good player, not "supreme" or "legendary." I think the player's position should only be like a 20% factor in your decision on your vote.

What was Kent like defensively? I can't remember clearly as the bulk of the time I saw him was when he was young with the Blue Jays and Mets. I did watch him a bit in San Fran but not enough to really get a great read on him. I remember him being a pretty sturdy 2B but not an elite level defender.

What position a player plays has to be a major factor…it really determines a lot of a guy's value. If Jeff Kent spent his career playing RF he's really not that special…but being a 2B made him extremely valuable. He wasn't a Sandberg/Alomar type with the glove, but he was good enough to play most of his career at 2B. He leads all 2B in HR and RBI…I don't see how he's not a HOF'r, but I don't think he's the biggest slam dunk ever.

Read the article over on Deadspin. Anyone that complains about the Deadspin vote needs to realize that Deadspin voted for the top 10 vote getters this year and didn't keep anyone with a chance of making the HOF from not making it.

The guys I voted for on here were:

                                Maddux
                                Glavine
                                Mussina
                                Schilling
                                Clemens
                                Bonds
                                Biggio
                                Thomas
                                Piazza

I made a mistake and didn't realize that I only voted 9, otherwise it would've been Bagwell or Raines 10th.
