r.i.p. Joe Morgan, another childhood hero of mine gone. when I was a kid, there was a time when half the little league team I played on flapped their elbow while batting and waiting for the pitch, including me as well also too

Also remember when Baseball Tonight was the best pre/post show nightly. MLB Network always was going to steal that title, and rightly so. But, slashing all the talent and giving baseball hardly any run aside from actually airing the games on ESPN Programing just all contributed to SNB becoming a mediocre, forgettable weekly event. The cast of on-air talent has become quite forgettable too.

I know they won’t, but I’d love for MLB Network or Fox to take that package and really inject life back into that stage. Fox with its NFL/NASCAR commitment probably rules them out?

Part of this is because the NFL decided to stage a takeover of Sunday night programming by switching their marquee games from Monday to Sunday night. Football's domination of the American sporting world has always bothered me a bit, but that's probably a minority opinion.

Ehh. I hear what you're saying but by time football starts baseball's regular season is pretty much over. There's no football interference from April through August.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

And just a year later, the Edwin walk off was the last time in MLB where any team had a walkoff HR in an all or nothing game.

Those were 4 and 5 years ago. Feels like so long ago.

And who knows if we'll even have an opportunity next year to have packed stadiums for postseason games.
