July 17th is the first concert, but Cubs play at home on the 11th (ASG is the 13th, HRD the 12th), so I think it could work.

If they want to push the "they were gonna pay tribute to Hank Aaron" narrative then move the game to Milwaukee.

Regardless of the reasoning...It's a shame the game won't be played in Atlanta given there's a special opportunity to honor the record time All-Star Hank Aaron in his Franchise's home city. I know he played more season in Milwaukee, but he is synonymous with the Braves. It's a shame that political posturing got in the way of what could have been a special ceremony. Maybe they'll move it to Milwaukee, that'd at least give them a similar opportunity.

I have too many horror stories from the ASG there back in 2002. Torii robbing Barry (at least he homered after), and of course... the tie.

Of course, it led to a later rule that I actually liked, that being the WS home field advantage (I know that's unpopular, and I understand why). Would be cool if Manfred brought that back. The 2008 ASG at Yankee Stadium was the best one I'd ever seen, and that wouldn't have happened if they ended it in a tie.

Hot take bet: The ASG is going to Milwaukee. MLB still wants to honor Hank and the city is reportedly pushing hard to host it. But its BS that it was moved out of Atlanta. Why punish an organization and fanbase that has zero involvement? If anything, keep it there and protest during the events! And that's irrelevant to your actual stance on the issue.

Please, you poll the majority of the Braves fan base and you'd find out the majority of them are fully on board with that law.

maybe if the mlb believes in what it says it does,
they won't allow the other 29 teams to play in Georgia in the regular season

Kemp should have thought about that before he signed that stupid law. Consequences ,my man. Anyway you go and continue to feign indignation.

The fans aren't the ones that signed the bill. And besides, your argument is based off hypotheticals.

Major League Baseball is the one feigning indignation my man. that's why they will still let the other teams play in Georgia. and if MLB allows that, they will be cancelled. they're in too deep to back out now

Wisconsin isn't an option as they also have strict ID laws and even shorter early voting windows.

Seems like a tough situation I guess.

Maybe they should play it in Canada where no American can vote. Problem solved.

Oh well. I'm not gonna eat MLBs lunch for pulling a showcase event from a state because Brian Kemp and the Georgia republican leadership pushed and signed some bull**** voting law that came about because some guy couldnt stomach the fact that he lost and Georgia republicans are lazy that instead of going into these neighborhoods and trying to win over voters of color they pass a bill that is nothing but an attempt to discourage them from voting.

I hate it for the fans, but be mad at Kemp , not the MLB.
