either the field of dreams field or Williamsport. MLB also ought to have a field in Cooperstown. even if it seats less than 10,000. there should be a field there at least on par with the smallest spring training field

EDIT: oh yeah, Doubleday Field d'oh

I don't know whose call it would be, but if I were MLB/Field of Dreams/sponsors/whoever else, I'd ditch that scheduled White Sox-Yankees game for the All-Star Game. That's a no-brainer.

I don't think Iowa can do it either.

Hey guys, speaking of ballparks... last year around Opening Day, I recorded myself trying to find all 30 MLB stadiums using Google Earth completely blind (no labels whatsoever). I never uploaded a video of it because I had to trim it the best I could, otherwise it would've been nearly four hours long.

Some were just too hard for me to find, including for one of my favorite teams (Braves). By far the most frustrating one to look for was Tropicana Field, though. Some "cheating" was used at the end.

                      Re: MLB Off-Topic

I'm not a fan of 7-inning doubleheaders or starting extra innings with a man on second, like most baseball fans.

That said, I'm ok with it for as long as the pandemic is a thing. We've already had the NYM/WSH series postponed and there's no way to predict over the course of this season how many games any given team may have to make up.

Making cramming all the make up dates in easier on the players by artificially shortening the games is an acceptable solution to me.

However, when the pandemic is gone the rules need to go with it.

Based on the way he lived his life and what he went through, I’d like to think Hank himself would support the move and not think him being honored is more important.

That’s the trouble with MLB or any other big organization trying to get into political issues. Everything they do is going to be hypocritical. Should they leave NY because of their issues? Leave Chicago because of gun violence? Leave the south because of how they treated Covid?

There is no good answer. Anyway, back to mlb talk for the rest of the thread..

HRD and ASG there would be way bigger than a Sox vs Yankees series.
