I dunno, but if they do get a team they should call them the Croupiers. Purple, black, red, and gold. That's the team I made up and fiddled around with when Diamond Dynastic Woohoo Mode first came on the scene in The Show.

I doubt the league would want them having a gambling-related name, so maybe something like the Las Vegas Lights. When one of their players hits a home run the stadium will be rigged up to go off like a slot machine, lights flashing and bells dinging.

If they get a team, they need to be called the Aces.

Perfect double (maybe even triple?) entendre.

The Reno Aces are the AAA affiliate for the Arizona Diamondbacks. They could still do it, but they could come up with other names too.

Questions about MLB.TV, if someone can help me.

Will Braves games be blacked out for me since they're my local team? Also, does it give access to MLB Network?

I'm thinking of getting it this year.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

You can try my account (or the guy above who posted his link) to test out your area, but I'm guessing you'll probably be blacked out. I know there's a regional coverage map somewhere that would show MLB blackout locations, like how Las Vegas blacks out Giants games and the whole state of Montana blocks out Mariners games for some ungodly reason.

If MLB Network plays a game on their station, it won't blackout yours (provided you're not in that region). They often play the home broadcast on their station, though.

If Vegas got a team, I could see them even taking over that franchise as their new minor league affiliate anyways. So they could get the Aces name, give Reno a rebrand, and DBacks get a new affiliate.

So I can pay $130 yet can't watch my own team?

                  That's dumb.

It's very dumb. It's not MLB.TV's fault though, just the MLB blackout policy (which, if Manfred can address one day, will do a lot for me to restore his cred in my eyes).

You can watch your team 90 minutes after it's finished playing (not always true, as sometimes I have to wait till after midnight for whatever reason) or purchase a VPN so it doesn't know your location, which worked extremely well for me.

I use MLB.TV though so I can watch out-of-market teams, such as the Braves (for me) as I live in California... or any game under the sun that I like. Sometimes I'm watching five games at a time (four on MLB.TV, and one on TV haha), especially when I have fantasy pitchers starting.

It's a great deal if you're just an overall MLB fan and watch all the games, or if you have to miss your team a lot because of work and can avoid spoilers in the process. That being said, if you enter the MLB.TV thread you'll see half my posts are complaints because they can't seem to figure out how to hide spoilers as needed.

I watch MLBTV on the PS4 MLBTV app and I'm able to hide score spoilers on there. So that might be an option for PS4 owners. Granted, I only watch replays, not sure if it works when games are currently ongoing; can't see why it wouldn't though (but MLBTV is not exactly a brilliant experience, so who knows).

It works for live games too. They just inexplicably make you go through a screen that shows the scores before you get to the screen that has the hidden scores if you’re on a computer and not using the app on devises like ps4 or a fire stick

Just read on the MLB Network ticker that the 2021 All Star Game and draft will no longer be held in Atlanta.

A new host city has yet to be determined.

I don't care what MLB's reasoning is, I hate it. I'm so sick of sports getting involved with everything political. We have enough politics taking over TV shows, movies, newspapers, social media.. you can't go anywhere without seeing something about it. I was hoping baseball would be my savior!

Have they stated whether getting rid of extra innings runner and 7-inning doubleheaders is even a consideration as crowds are/have returned?

Like, is it possible at all?
