Snow signed a one-day contract with the Giants, went out there in the top of the 1st inning as a first baseman and tossed around pre-inning grounders, then got subbed out. Re: MLB Off-Topic
Something I just thought of as I saw an Angels highlight on mlb.tv, why hasn’t Mike Scioscia resurfaced as a manager anywhere? He had a pretty good run with the AngelsLast edited by reyes the roof; 05-07-2021, 10:28 PM.Comment

Re: MLB Off-Topic
I was reading a comment online which gives off a "I've never thought of it before, but now that I think of it, it's bound to happen" vibe.
We know theres ads everywhere already, and networks are adding in their own digital ads already on the field.
But...how long before we get actual field ads? Like grass cut ads, not just a painted on thing or anything like that.
People here won't be familiar with it, but Toronto had grass ads along the highway on the way towards downtown/Rogers Centre. It actually looks cool.
Mike Scioscia on mob TV!? It has a nice ring to it lol.Comment

Re: MLB Off-Topic
Random fun fact, Pujols is/was the last active player to have played with or against Bobby Bonilla.
Also found an interesting "degrees of seperation" fact.
Ohtani I'd imagine would be the old guy in the future that's part of this long list. Don't worry, it's worth the read.
In his first season Shohei Ohtani was a teammate of Albert Pujols who in his first season was a teammate of Mark McGwire who in his first season was a teammate of Dusty Baker who in his first season was a teammate of Hank Aaron who in his first season was a teammate of Andy Pafko who in his first season was a teammate of Lon Warneke who in his first season was a teammate of Rogers Hornsby who in his first season was a teammate of Red Ames who in his first season was a teammate of George Van Haltren who in his first season was a teammate of Cap Anson who was in the first season of baseball in 1871.
Which links every season of MLB together using only guys who were teammates for at least one of those guys first season.Last edited by Majingir; 05-08-2021, 11:32 AM.Comment

Re: MLB Off-Topic
Raiders got a good deal in Vegas (but we were also in a unique position to create this deal - we raised a tax .8% to 13.35%) and the appetite to do another one like that is politically toxic. For it to happen here someone's gotta step up and create the opportunity with their pocketbook.Comment

And can the league do the same for the Rays too? Get a deal by X date or they're gone. No split season 2027 nonsense they've proposed to buy time.Comment
