Re: MLB Off-Topic
Even if he watches the out of market channels? MLBTV gives you both your home station and the station of the team they're playing, kinda like Extra Innings.Last Movie Watched: Morbius (2022).
Last TV Show Watched: MARVEL's What If?...(S3:E7).

If we're not blacked out when watching the other team's broadcast, then I've whiffed on trying that for myself for the past decade plus, and I'm just an idiot in that way for not having tried.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: MLB Off-Topic
There are plenty of easy methods to watch any game you want for no cost. I feel zero guilt because I don't have cable, but MLB TV blacks out all Braves games since I live just a few hours outside of Atlanta. Makes total sense, MLB.

Re: MLB Off-Topic
Not sure if they do it, but is there a condensed version of the games available for free online?
On TV here they have a "game in an hour" or game in 30" broadcast for all the Toronto teams, but that's put together by their network.
I know NHL also has official "60 in 6" styled condensed games on YouTube.
I know regular users post clips of games too, but it's not official and often gets taken down.
If MLB doesn't do it already, they should look into that. Easy way to watch all notable parts of a game with no recap voiceover playing over it.
I heard on a sports show one time one of the hosts was talking about how his kids consume sports. He mentioned that one of his kids is a big fan, but never watches a game. They consume all their content online, watching every recap and highlight video on YouTube instead. I wonder if that's a common thing amongst kids nowadays when consuming sports.

I love baseball but I really believe it is the worst run sport. Manfred is out of touch with the games fanbase.

Re: MLB Off-Topic
If you order balls from someone you get what they give you. If you own the company you are literally in direct control of everything about that ball. From the density of the core material you use to what you use for the stitching and cover material and where you get that from.
It’s not rocket science.
The MLB is no stranger to trying to make ghost changes. Let's not act like they were completely innocent in the balls getting juiced in the past, being deadened for post season play, and all the other changes that were happening before.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

Re: MLB Off-Topic
Not in the same way that you are when you are in literal control of everything. It’s about what you can prove.
But anyways, pete Alonso’s comments (the original point) are pretty easily disproven. MLB does suppress salaries but that’s just called arbitration.badComment

Re: MLB Off-Topic
We can agree to disagree. Whether Rawlings was making the balls or the MLB has direct control over it now, whatever they wanted done to the balls was going to be done. If they wanted them to be juiced, it was going to happen. If they wanted them deadened, it was going to happen. It did happen under Rawlings. They weren't going to say no to the MLB.
As far as Pete's comments, he probably went out there a bit too much, I can agree there.

Re: MLB Off-Topic
There is absolutely no way that the MLB would go out of their way to deaden the balls if they didn’t go out of their way to juice them to begin with.
They wouldn’t ever say: “Well y’all, I can promise you we didn’t juice the balls, but to not hurt your feelings we’ll go ahead and deaden them for you.”
But by deadening them, let’s be real... it’s taken just a couple of feet off the overall flight. We’re not back to where we were in 2016 or whenever, not even close.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment
