We know it's a matter of time (aka 2023) before these changes make it's way to the MLB, but they're been announced for MiLB

Baseball hasn't had a legitimate season since 2016.

        Guess that streak continues.

The challenge system is interesting. For the people who are against robo-umps, would you prefer this system?

Which means, between New York rules and Toronto rules, Aaron Judge (who used way too many words to confirm he isn't vaccinated) will miss approximately 92 games this year unless that status changes.

            81 games at Yankee Stadium
            9 games in Toronto
            2 games at Citi Field

I'm not really pro or against it, but I would rather just go all in with ABS than have a challenge system. Challenge systems in sports are always trash. All plays should be looked at and reviewed as they happen in all sports.

My brain hurts from the leaps of logic trying to make this make sense.

                  It still doesn’t.

Need the Yankees/Mets to go ahead and put that pressure on the city and get that Athlete exemption included like other cities have.

Hasn’t made sense since it was implemented but I’m glad it’s starting to get more National attention.

(Mainly so I get can Kyrie back on the Nets sooner)

The Yankees can deny service time to Judge for the games he’s missed and delay his free agency another year. If anything, it’d be in their interest to lobby to make the mandate permanent.

The city has a mandate that doesn't differentiate between indoor and outdoor workspaces. It simply does not allow companies to allow workers to work in their workspace if they are not vaccinated.

This is an FYI to anyone who may not know. However you feel about it is whatever. I imagine the organizations are going to make an effort to get an exception and I won't be surprised to see them be successful.

If you're going to change the rules for professional athletes then change the rules for everyone. Doing it just for celebrity millionaires is a bad, bad look. Hopefully they change it when we hit summer.

Agreed. Athletes shouldn't get special treatment. But the rules are stupid in general.

So unvaccinated fans may attend games but players can’t play?

I’m in favour of vaccines but that is pretty dumb if that’s the case.
