          WTF?!?!

          Why???

The fact that he got us into the postseason this year considering where we were and the injuries to our pitching staff, I would've thought he was safe for at the very least another season.

          Wow!

Absolutely shocked, dumbfounded, and we'll go with disappointed that they made this change.

Who in the hell are they going to get to replace him?

              That's a real shame.

Can they get rid of Molina and Flaherty and Carlos Martinez and that worthless no name reliever they had who was bitching about the chop too?

Moz's reasoning was "philosophical differences" between Shildt and the front office in the direction of the franchise.

I simply don't get this move

I think that firing of Shildt is shocking; he could be a top 3 finisher for manager of the year. I’ve been nothing but impressed with his Cardinal teams…just seems so unlike St Louis to do something like that.

This one really sucks. My early baseball fandom is heavily tied to A's baseball, and particularly with Fosse on TV and radio commentary. Always seemed like a good guy.

Reading an article on The Athletic about the Shildt firing and apparently it was a major surprise to almost everyone in the organization.

Hopefully they blow the hire and suck for the next few years because of it

The obvious solution is to bring back Pujols and let him do just that.

I saw something today that is hard to fathom; the Orioles went 52-110…and spent 8 days atop the AL East this year. The Yankees spent ONE day on first all year.

And the Os also won same number of playoff series as the Rays,Jays and Yankees.

                                Don't sleep on the Os!
