"Help me reach my goal of 7K subscribers."
Great, you got it! Oh wait, now you want 7.5K? 10K? The goalpost just keeps moving so others always seem "incentivized" to help them.
I'll never appease beggars in that way, but sadly with something like the MLB it seems that sometimes you must in order to get your product.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

No offense to anybody from Salt Lake City but...no.
Not because of wanting a team there, but because maybe there will be a push for expansion.
Not that SLC will be a top city to get a team, but as long as the league and owners are open to expansion, that's great news for the cities with a realistic shot of getting a team.Comment

Re: MLB Off-Topic
The things people do for free stuff...
Jays (or a retailer?) doing a free jersey exchange. Bring in ANY jersey (somehow knockoffs and clearance items are included) and get a FREE Jays jersey.
Sounds cool...except the lines for these apparently go 4+ hours long.
You're skipping work/school for that?
I'm glad I bought the majestic jersey when they were on massive clearance. IIRC, it was like $50 for a jersey with a name! No way I'm waiting in line for 4 hours for a jersey. Then again, this city also has overnight long lines for a $20 bobblehead that people resell for $200 so..Comment

Bauer looking strong through his first three innings down on the farm in Japan. Curious when he thinks he’ll be ready to move up to the BayStars rotation.Comment

Re: MLB Off-Topic
MLB announced a series of experimental rules that will be used in the Atlantic League this season, including a designated pinch runner, "double-hook" designated hitter rule and further limitations on a pitcher's ability to make pickoff moves.
I'm not going to say that all of these were bad, but it's wild to think that just 4 years ago:
Only the American League had a DH
Teams had a 25 man roster, not 26
Pitchers did not have a 3 batter minimum
Extra innings were not played with an extra runner
There were no rules against the shift
There was no limit to pick off attempts
There was no pitch clock
Base sizes were unchanged
Postseason was limited to the 3 divisions winners from each league plus a 1 game wild card playoff
Then I see this article with additional changes on the horizon including 1 that reminds me of some comments that I had a few years ago regarding a specific argument in favor of the DH. Basically, if we're going to have the DH because we don't won't to watch pitchers hitting then why don't we have just reserved spots in the lineup for any position player who is in the game for what he does when his team is not at the plate? Gold glove short stops, catchers, etc... Why not have designated runners for guys who are not athletic on the basepaths? At the time I thought I was just being hyperbolic, but now at least it seems that I may not have been that far off.
I'm not going to get into the merits of any of these changes, some I even liked. It's just kind of wild that there have been what seems like decades worth of changes in just 4 years to a game that has traditionally been very resistant to change.Comment
