I did read that incorrectly. Apologies, Will I Am.

But still, just overall, he said what he said. If he meant it, slipped up, or whatever it doesn't matter.

He took ownership, apologized, and received a suspension. That's about all needed to happen. Bring him back in two weeks.

I don't disagree. However, that is something common in the baseball community to regularly say. That can't be something to go after until the league changes their way of thinking.

I mean, it's just the spanish word for black.

Just cause white folks altered it's pronunciation to make it derogatory doesn't mean to me that "Negro" is offensive.

Dude slipped up, apologized, and is serving his suspension.

          Fun graphic.

Obviously wall height isn't accounted for.

EDIT: It also appears outdated by a few years. Not only is AT&T Park shorter than 421 ft. in RCF now, but it's now called Oracle Park.

I love to look at the annual league-wide averages. Wonder how much more batting average will increase this year. I think it increases a bit as the season warms up (literally). Would love to see strikeouts get under 8.5.

Also, had a thought. If they ever go to a robo strike zone, perfect games will become even rarer. Not going to get all those late innings strikes on balls just outside the zone.

Austin Hedges goes to the plate to "Fat Bottomed Girls." They actually play the part where they say fat bottomed girls. Makes me wonder what the most "borderline" lyric is that gets played when a player comes to the plate.

I mean, don't get me wrong, fat bottomed girls 100% do make the world go 'round, but I don't know if the kids need to know that yet. They'll find out some day.

A's pivot to the site of the Tropicana hotel on the strip for their stadium in Vegas. Less public money requested and no land acquisition costs.

Went to Dodgers/Padres on Sunday. There was a very obnoxious Dodgers fan sitting near my group who was taunting young Padres fans after the Outman HR in the 10th. Don't think he'd be getting away with that on the East Coast.

Manny Ramirez once came out to Styles P "Good times"

I really wish there was a video of it somewhere.

Apparently the MLB has been updating (modernizing/digitizing) morr their database recently which has led to people getting random game notifications from decades ago.

People have gotten notifications like Expos beating the Padres and that Hank Aaron guy doing stuff.

Oakland Athletics have reached a new deal to build a new stadium in Vegas.

It's similar to the one reported a few weeks back but this deal is just the stadium (not the entire area like the other deal was) and a slightly different location but apparently it's closer to hotels than the other proposed location was.

30,000 seat stadium costing 1.5B, with 400m in public support.

One takeaway I had is that one union rep from Vegas (the group I believe is gonna lead the As workers union) actually referred to them as the "Las Vegas As".

Not that this means it's official, but could their name actually be the Las Vegas As? Instead of using Athletics, they're just the As? Or could they also just become the Aviators and call themselves the As anyways?

When did authentic jerseys get so expensive? It's been a minute since I bought an authentic one, but $475?!?!?!?!

I'm pretty sure what I spent on my replica City Connect jersey (I decided to go with Barry Larkin) is what I spent on my Votto authentic back in 2012.
